Enforcement Procedure
We always strive to resolve all concerns to your satisfaction. However, should you disagree with our response to an accessibility complaint, or should we fail to respond to your enquiry within a reasonable period of time, you have the right to initiate enforcement or mediation proceedings under the applicable statutory provisions.
For private companies, no specific mediation procedure through an official public body (such as under the Federal Disability Equality Act, BGG) is prescribed. However, you may contact the competent market surveillance authorities, which from 28 June 2025 onwards will monitor compliance with the accessibility requirements of the BFSG (implementing the EAA). These authorities may take enforcement action and offer conciliation. You are also free to pursue legal remedies – the BFSG explicitly grants consumers the right to raise accessibility deficiencies and, if necessary, have them reviewed by a court.
We recommend, however, that you contact us directly in the first instance (see contact details above). In most cases, questions and issues can be resolved through direct dialogue. Our team is happy to work with you to find a solution that satisfies everyone involved.
